Another new feature we’d like to present is the addition of our new Bra Blog Forums.  I’ve received a few requests the last couple of months about adding a forum section in as a place for all you bra fans to chat, post pictures, and show us your bras.  It’s little requests I get for things like this that have helped make us the number one place on the web dedicated to the bra and all the beautiful women that wear them.

I found this great clip from the National Geographic channel about the history of the bra and thought I would share it with everyone.

I came across these the other day, and thought I would post them. They are a collection of Maidenform bra ads from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. You can really get a feel of the changing times as the sexual revolution came into full swing. A picture of a lady in her bra in a published periodical was unheard of in the 50s, so instead we get a painted representation. As things move forward up to the 70, they started using actual models to show off their brassieres.

Bra Fence Bra Fence

The Cardrona Bra Fence was a controversial tourist attraction in Central Otago, New Zealand. The fence was on a public road reserve adjacent to farm property in the Cardrona Valley area southwest of Wanaka.

The Bra Fence began at some point between Christmas and New Year 1999, when four women’s bras were attached to the wire fence alongside the road. The original reason for the bras being attached to the fence was never known. News quickly spread of the bras appearance, which was left on the fence by the landowners, and soon more bras began to appear. By the end of February there were some 60 bras, but at about this time they were all removed anonymously. This was reported in the local press, and the story gained widespread dissemination through the New Zealand media, leading to more bras immediately appearing. In early 2006, the number of bras attached to the fence stood at close to 800.

On April 28, 2006, after discovering the fence rested on public road reserve, the local Council determined the bra fence was a “traffic hazard” and an “eyesore” and ordered the bras on the fence to be removed. So on September 9, 2006, the local Council made good on its pledge and removed over 1,500 bras.

Thus the once popular tourist attracting of the Cardrona Bra Fence was no more, and now only lives on in pictures or memories.

Hey ladies, I’m sure after many years of putting on your bra every day it becomes just another daily ritual you perform without thinking too much about it. So how about next time you have a little fun with it and put it on with some style like this gal does.
